What NewGen stands for?
뉴젠은 영어로 New Generation을 줄여 부른 말 입니다.
Newgen is an abbreviation of New Generation in English.
Why do we teach music?
캘리포니아 공립 학교를 다니는 학생들은 학교에서 음악을 가르쳐 주지 않습니다. 그래서 공립학교 학생들은 마치 글씨를 모르는 까막눈처럼 악보를 읽지도 못하고 이해 하지도 못합니다. 이렇듯 미국 음악 교육의 현실과 자라나는 아이들의 음악적 필요는 큰 괴리감이 있습니다. 저희는 지난 15년 동안 음악을 가르치며 필요하다고 느꼈던 부분들을 보안하여 뉴젠(NewGen) 음악 스튜디오를 열게 되었습니다.
‘NewGen Music Studio’ 에서는 각각 다른 연령대의 아이들 에게 다른 방법으로 음악 교육을 제공 합니다. 악기를 연주하는 기술만 배우는 것이 아니라 음악을 직접 만들어 보기도 하고(little composer class), 다른 친구들과 함께 연주도 해 보는 앙상블 (혹은 챔버 오케스트라) 프로그램도 준비 했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 연주 영상도 찍어서 나만의 영상 포토폴리오도 만들어드립니다.
Students who attend California public schools do not teach music at school. Therefore, public school students cannot read or understand sheet music like black eyes who do not know how to write. As such, there is a huge gap between the reality of American music education and the musical needs of growing children. We've been teaching music for the past 15 years, and we have opened NewGen Music Studio to secure the parts we felt necessary.
‘NewGen Music Studio’ provides different ways of teaching music to children of different ages. We have prepared an ensemble (or chamber orchestra) program where you can not only learn how to play an instrument but also make music yourself (little composer class) and play with other friends. Not only that, but we also take performance videos and create your own video portfolio.

What is different?
Private Lesson
1. 학생의 레벨 파악, 로드 맵 제시 (Determine student’s level first)
‘NewGen' 에서는 학생 개개인의 현재 수준을 먼저 파악 합니다.
2. 3개월 단기 목표 설정 (Set up 3month short term goal)
3개월 동안 충분히 해 볼 수 있는 쉬운 목표를 주고 목표를 이루어내면 레벨 업 배지 를 수여합니다.
3. 매 수업마다 레슨일지를 꼼꼼히 작성 (Every time, we write lesson log for helping student’s practice routine)
담당 선생님은 매번 레슨 때마다 꼼꼼히 아이의 상태를 기록하고, 어떻게 연습을 해야 할지 적어 줍니다.
4. 6개월 마다 열리는 리사이틀 (Every student can join recital - twice a year)
모든 학생들은 일년에 두 번 열리는 리사이틀에 참여 할 수 있습니다.
Ensemble
1.악기 구성 디자인 (Design ensemble)
‘뉴젠’ 에서는 학생 개개인의 역량에 맞게 악기 구성을 디자인 합니다.
2.맞춤형 제작 악보 (Only NewGen offers customized music score)
학생의 수준에 맞게 맞춤형 앙상블 악보를 직접 제작을 해 줍니다.
3. 12주 앙상블 리허설 진행 (Rehearsal runs 12 times (for three month), every month we rehearse a new style music.)
리허설은 12주 동안 진행이 되며, 12주 동안 3곡의 다른 느낌의 곡들을 함께 연주해 보게 됩니다.
4. 앙상블 연주와 영상 제작,촬영 (After rehearsal we perform and everything will video recorded.)
모든 리허설을 마친 후, 함께 앙상블 연주를 하게 되며 모든 연주는 영상으로 촬영 제작 됩니다.
